Dan’s Background
Dan Yarbro is a dedicated and tenacious attorney who fights hard for his clients across the State of Colorado. Dan is originally from the small mountain town of Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he graduated from high school in 2005 before starting his undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico with a focus in pre-law.
In 2009, Dan graduated cum laude from the University of New Mexico with an undergraduate degree in Criminology. Hoping to someday become a criminal defense attorney, Dan was active in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and held several officer positions prior to his graduation.
Legal Journey
After his college graduation, Dan continued building his legal experience working for the Shoemaker Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Price, Postel and Parma, LLP in Santa Barbara, California. The two firms could not be more different in terms of the law they practice or their organizational structure, but during this time Dan gained valuable insight into the practice of law and what it takes to be an exceptional attorney.
In 2012, Dan began law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. He had still expected to become a criminal defense attorney when he started law school, but after his younger brother tragically passed away in December 2013, Dan’s legal career almost came to an end. Devastated by the loss of his only sibling, Dan took a semester off and wasn’t sure if he would return to law school.
Dan resumed his legal studies in June 2014 with vigor and a renewed sense of purpose. He took the maximum allowable courses every session and obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence with the rest of his classmates in June 2015.
Career at Ward & Yarbro
Dan moved to Denver, Colorado in 2016, when he was hired by the Law Office of Jonathan M. Ward, LLC. He instantly adopted the firm’s mission of helping others and made it his own. Since then, Dan has zealously represented the firm’s clients while also providing a more personalized touch rarely seen in the industry.
Dan was named Partner at the Law Office of Jon Ward in 2021. In 2023, he became a named Partner and the firm became The Law Offices of Ward & Yarbro. In 2025, Dan was named Managing Partner for the firm. He has dedicated his career to helping the firm’s clients navigate some of the most painful and stressful times of their lives. Dan is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.
